RPS Cementing provides a complete range of cementing and pressure pumping services for clients across the Gulf South. Our state-of-the-art equipment is upheld in exceptional condition due to our keen focus on preventative maintenance. We utilize twin 10K pumps, as well as pump trucks equipped with 300 cuft bulk tanks that allow us to access smaller locations with only one piece of equipment.

Fleet Features

  • Each pump truck is equipped with data acquisition software
  • Field storage bins and bulk trailers allow us to handle jobs large and small
  • Plug container sizes range from 4 ½” to 13 3/8”
  • 25 barrel skid-mounted blender
  • Our stand-alone centrifugal allows us to create higher rates of mixing and displacement to enhance overall performance.

Bulk Plant

The Bulk Plant Silos store large volumes of dry cementing material. The bulk scale tank is used for the transfer of material and is equipped with an Electronic Scale System to ensure loading accuracy.

The Blend Tank is used to batch cement before it gets loaded onto the truck for quality assurance of the blend.  The Additive Hopper allows dry additives not stored in bulk silos to be added to the blend. All blends are carefully calculated and weighed out for each job.

Cement Lab

Our Cementing Lab allows for the testing of our blends to provide quality assurance to our customers.  Tests performed are HPHT Fluid Loss, Ultrasonic Cement Analyzer, Viscometer, Atmospheric Consistometer and Automatic Consistometer.

Field Storage Bin Photo

Field Storage Bin

The Field Storage Bin is equipped with 4-400 cubic foot tanks capable of storing 1600 cubic feet of product. This allows the storage of large volumes of cement on location. It is equipped with hydraulic legs for lifting/lowering the unit off of the truck safely, rather than the conventional way of winching the bin off and on the truck for hauling.

This is unit is great for land as well as inland water jobs.

1410 cuft Field Bin

This Field Storage Bin has a smaller footprint than the 1600, and is equipped with 4 tanks capable of storing 1410 cubic feet of product. This allows the storage of large volumes of cement on location. It is equipped with hydraulic legs for lifting/lowering the unit off of the truck safely, rather than the conventional way of winching the bin off and on the truck for hauling.

100 bbl Blender Photo

100 bbl Blender

Our 100 bbl blender is capable of mixing two separate 50 bbl blends independently, or simultaneously.  This design allows consistent mixing of spacer or cement in a trailer mounted unit capable of loading onto a barge for inland water work.

Unit #8 Photo

Unit #8

Unit 8 is powered by 2-Cummins QSX15 665hp Turbo Diesel engines and 2- 6061 Allison Transmissions.

Twin Axon HD Triplex pumps with 4 ½” plungers for a maximum working pressure of 11,400 psi.

Maximum pump rate at low pressure will be > 12 bpm. Both Triplex pumps are equipped with adjustable Over-pressure Shutdown system that drop the engines to idle and shift the transmission to neutral.

Pump rates, volumes, pressure, and density are recorded and displayed on a Falcon-X6 data acquisition software.

Fluid pick up and transfer is provided by 2-5x4 hydraulic driven centrifugal pumps that are piped to work independently or in unison with the 2-10 barrel Stainless Steel displacement tanks.

Cement is mixed in an 8 barrel Stainless Steel Mixing tub, with the density measured by Rosemount Flowmeter.

Unit 8 is equipped with 2-5x6 centrifugal pumps one for the re-circulation of the slurry and the second pump to pressurize the tri-plex suctions or perform back-up mixing duties.

Unit #9 Photo

Unit #9

Unit 9 is powered by 2-Cat C15 580hp engines with a CX31-P600 Cat PX transmission. It is capable of running all hydraulically powered components.

It contains Jason 500W, 500-brake hp, high pressure pumps, with 4-1/2" diameter plungers with 4 Centrifugal Pumps (3-6"x5" and 1-4"x3").

It holds a 12-bbl Mixing Tub (Mixing Tank: 4-bbl capacity and Averaging Tank: 8-bbl capacity); two Displacement Fluid Tanks with 12-bbl capacity (24-bbl total capacity with paddle style agitators).

Agitators' and centrifugal pumps' hydraulic motors are ran with hydraulic pumps powered from both 580-hp engines. The hydraulic system's pumps are schemed redundantly so that either engine can drive any of the pumps at any time during a pumping operation. This allows for both high pressure pumps to be driven simultaneously, dividing the hydraulic components' power requirement evenly between the two engines.

Rosemount flow meter is located in the belly line for measuring rate and total volume of discharged fluid.

2-Micromotion Coriolis densometers are used for density measurement from mixing tank recirculation lines and downhole densities.

Data acquisition capability includes pump discharge pressure, rate, and density. Data acquisition is also set up for recording engine operation parameters.

Unit #4 Photo

Unit #4

Unit #4 has been completely refurbished! We recently replaced and re-routed much of the piping, and we completely overhauled the electrical system. While we were at it, we made access to the control area of the unit more user-friendly. Unit 4 has been tested and put back in the field.

Unit 4 is powered by 2- 60 Series 475 BHP Detroit Diesel engines for the power supply of the “on demand” hydraulic system and the triplex pump packages via Allison HT750DR transmissions. Tri-plex pumps are MSI 600 equipped with 3 ½” plungers for a maximum working pressure of 10,400 psi. With this configuration, this unit will be able to provide > 500 HHP total. Maximum pump rate at low pressure will be > 10 bpm. Triplex pumps are equipped with individual shut down that can be set to the desired pressure and will drop the engines to idle and shift the transmission to neutral. Pump rates and total volumes are digitally displayed on both the main console and the PI 2000 recorder display and data acquisition. Fluid pick up and transfer is provided by 2- 2x3 hydraulic driven centrifugal pumps. These are piped to work independently or in series using an overboard fluid source or from the dual 10-barrel Stainless Steel displacement tanks. These pumps can also pressurize the suctions for the tri-plex pumps as needed. Cement is mixed in an 8 barrel Stainless Steel averaging tank with a Coriolis flowmeter/ Densitometer. The slurry is re-circulated through the mixer and High Energy head with a hydraulic driven 5x6 centrifugal pump and supported by a second 5x6 pump to pressurize the tri-plex suctions or perform back-up mixing duties.
